Education | Free Speech
Jonas Du is a journalist and filmmaker advocating for free speech on college campuses and beyond. He is an undergraduate at Columbia University studying political science and economics. Originally from Atlanta, Jonas grew up as the son of Chinese immigrants and inherited an understanding of the importance of free markets and uninhibited discourse in building a prosperous society. In December, Jonas founded the Columbia Independent, a magazine for reviving debate through political commentary, and the latest heterodox publication in the Ivy League. He edited the Columbia Daily Spectator’s opinion section previously and currently works as an intern at Reason magazine.
