BIO

Alexandra Hudson is an award-winning writer based in Indianapolis, currently working on a book on civility and American civic renewal. She earned a Masters degree in Social Policy at the London School of Economics as a Rotary Scholar and has served at the local, state and federal levels of government and public policy—most recently holding an appointment at the US Department of Education in policy under Betsy DeVos.

Now a full-time writer, speaker, and consultant, she has appeared on Fox News and CBS News + contributes to USA Today The Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine, POLITICO Magazine, The Washington Examiner, and other national outlets. Hudson has signed a book deal with St Martins Press for Against Politeness: Why Politeness Failed American & Civility Can Save it & is the slated contributing editor of a new magazine being launched by Francis Fukuyama called the American Purpose. Her most recent book, The Soul of Civility: Timeless Principles to Heal Society and Ourselves, was published with St. Martin’s Press on Oct 10th, 2023.
