Alexander William Salter is an economics professor in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University and a research fellow at TTU’s Free Market Institute. He has authored or coauthored four books: The Medieval Constitution of Liberty, The Spirit of ’76, The Political Economy of Distributism, and Money and the Rule of Law. In addition to his numerous scholarly articles, he has published more than 400 opinion pieces in leading national outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Fox News Opinion, and National Review.
